Justice Minister Jonathan Attard said that government has issued a call for three new magistrates and one new Judge, as it continues with its investment in the judiciary.
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Attard said that the call confirms government’s commitment to continue investing in the largest judiciary in the country’s history.
“Following the closure of the public call, a process will begin before the Judicial Appointments Committee, which evaluates the candidates and submits a list for the President of the Republic’s selection,” Attard said.
The public call was issued after last month, Magistrates Rachel Montebello and Simone Grech were promoted to the position of Judge. Lawyers Franco Agius and Ingrid Bianco were also appointed as magistrates.
The Minister did not specify the date of the closure of this public call.
