For our final talk from our Dusk Dialogues series, Dr Joan Abela and Dr Patricia Camilleri will be joining us for Conversations on Memory, as we delve into the world of memories that survive on paper and in stories and how this shapes our identity and preserves our past for future generations.

Dr. Abela, founding member and President of the Notarial Archives Foundation, will share her experiences and insights from her central role in the preservation and promotion of Malta's rich archival heritage. Drawing from her extensive work in safeguarding historical records and making them accessible to the public, we will discuss the importance of archives as sources of collective memory and cultural identity. Meanwhile, Dr. Camilleri's doctoral research explores community and heritage, focusing on themes of place, space, and identity within the context of Bormla. Her work delves into how local memory, traditions, and environments shape a community's sense of belonging and how museums or "heritage spaces" can reflect on how space, object, display and narrative interact in community contexts.
