It is worrying that a political party which has done so much good is at risk of losing the helm of the country, Labour Party MP Edward Zammit Lewis said in a social media post on Sunday, as he reacted to the results of a recent survey conducted by MaltaToday.

The survey's results have indicated that the voting intentions gap has narrowed down to a 2.6% difference between the Nationalist Party and the PL.

The survey resulted that voting intentions favour the PL at 48.7%, followed by the PN at 46.1%, then the ADPD with 4.1%, and Momentum coming in with 1.2%. The gap between the PL and PN was calculated to be of around 7,600 votes.

Zammit Lewis said that to see such a result "after such a good budget" and not be worried would mean that you have to either be politically clueless or not a labourite.

He commented that the PL must stop annoying people with its stubbornness on particular issues where it is "crystal clear" that people are against the PL's position.

He continued that the PL must listen and include the people that have been needlessly cast aside, as well as the labourites whose basic needs have been ignored.

The PL MP concluded by saying that he remains always available to help if given the chance in order to see the PL victorious.
