Sliema residents have complained that an enormous road-roller has been parked on a Dingli Street bus stop for weeks, when no roadworks are being undertaken.

Apart from obstructing passengers from alighting buses, it is a traffic hazard as it protrudes onto the road creating a serious risk to passing vehicles, more so as it has no lights.

Residents have said that no contravention tickets have been issued against the owner. "LESA officers are quick to pounce on common mortals when a rule is breached, but this inconvenience and illegal parking has been totally ignored," one resident commented.

Residents who have contacted the local council have been told that efforts to contact the owner for its removal have been in vain
