An Albanian man was arrested by the police in connection with a string of thefts that took place in the past months, the police said Thursday.

The 24-year-old has allegedly been involved in thefts of cash, laptops, mobile phones, other electric devices and bags from hotels and restaurants in St Julian's, a private office in Qormu and an elederly people's home in Luqa.

The police were able to locate him through CCTV cameras, the police said.

The man will be charged with the offences in court.
