The PL government seems hell bent on destroying the character of Maltese towns in the south, Momentum has said.

"Minister Chris Bonnet is hiding all his plans for the Marsaskala ferry harbour from the citizens of Marsaskala and all Malta. In the meantime, hiding behind the concrete barriers which have been put up on Marsaskala promenade, Bonnett and Infrastructure Malta are busy dismantling the arcades on the coast line that have been there since time immemorial, when the plans for the jetty have not been yet approved."

"As Wayne Flask of Il-Kollettiv put it, 'We are back to the times and methods of Fredrick Azzopardi'," Momentum said.

"Not content with ruining the Marsakala coastline, a home for the elderly that will see a five-story building at the heart of Żabbar is being proposed."

Momentum Executive member, Katya Compagno, said: "Momentum fully supports not only the residents of Marsaskala but also the Council and residents of Zabbar, and will be present at the protest there next Monday at 10.a.m."
