Another captivating appointment of The Magic Box promises to live up to its name, offering audiences an evening of discovery, storytelling and cultural exploration.

The upcoming event will welcome Annalisa Malaguti, a historian specialising in Egyptology, who will lead what she describes as a "walk" through the collections of the Egyptian Museum in Turin. Through this guided narrative, Malaguti will bring ancient history to life, blending academic insight with personal experience.

Her deep connection to Egypt was shaped during six years spent in Cairo, a city she continues to regard as a second home. It was there that she and her husband Martin welcomed their first daughter, further strengthening their bond with the country. Professionally, Malaguti worked as personal assistant to the archaeological officer at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, a role that saw her involved in archaeological projects and in close collaboration with Egyptian authorities.

Malaguti's international journey has since taken her and her family across Norway, Angola, Indonesia, Ghana, Kazakhstan and Austria, before eventually settling in Malta. These diverse experiences have enriched her global outlook and inform the way she approaches history - not as something static, but as a living, shared human story.

The event will take place on Tuesday 3 February at 6.30pm at the Valletta Design Cluster, inviting audiences to embark on a unique cultural journey through time and across continents.
