The PN said that it wants to "once again" encourage innovation, professionalism and quality employment in Malta.
PN Leader Alex Borg visited two companies which the PN said are an example of how enterprise in Malta can grow sustainably, create quality jobs and invest in innovation.
"During his visit to Alberta Group in Mrieħel - which operates in the security and fire-protection sector - Alex Borg met with the company's management and employees, who spoke about how the company's reputation was built on excellence, professionalism and a strong commitment to the safety of Maltese families, homes and businesses. It was also highlighted how the company continues to invest in technology, research and the skills of its workforce in order to offer increasingly advanced services."
Borg stressed the importance of government making use of the experience of companies such as these to achieve higher standards in security.
Meanwhile, Alex Borg also visited Seifert Systems Group, which has been operating from Malta since 1965, just one year after Malta's Independence, "and which throughout these years has continued to invest in Maltese workers and operate strongly from our country. During the visit to the company's facilities in Ħal Far, the importance of stability, long-term planning and real support for industry was discussed so that companies like Seifert can continue to expand their operations from Malta. Seifert is considered a global leader in the field of industrial thermal management," the PN said.
In comments made during these visits, Alex Borg stressed that the PN believes in an economy built on serious enterprise and responsible leadership, with companies that respect their workers and invest in quality and innovation.
Such visits, the PN Leader maintained, form part of the PN's commitment to remain close to businesses and to understand their realities, so that from government it can create an environment that allows these companies to succeed and create more high-value employment opportunities.
Alex Borg also stressed the importance of manufacturing for our country and said that the PN wants, as an alternative government, to continue supporting and incentivising this industry so that it can keep strengthening.
Also present for the visit to Alberta were Shadow Minister for Social Dialogue and Trade Promotion Ryan Callus, Shadow Minister for Home Affairs and Security Darren Carabott, Shadow Minister for Capital Projects and Infrastructure Bernard Grech, as well as PN general election candidate Annabelle Cilia.
For the visit to Seifert, accompanying the Leader of the Partit Nazzjonalista were also Shadow Minister for Social Dialogue and Trade Promotion Ryan Callus, Shadow Minister for the Environment Rebekah Borg, Shadow Minister for Energy and Water Conservation Mark Anthony Sammut and candidate Noel Muscat. Also present was Stanley Zammit, Shadow Minister for Planning and Lands, who as an engineer has worked with Seifert for many years.
