The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Anġlu Farrugia, this week received courtesy visits from the Ambassadors of Egypt, Greece and Spain, reaffirming Malta's strong bilateral relations and commitment to dialogue and cooperation with its Mediterranean and European partners.

During separate meetings with Shaymaa Badawi of Egypt, Stella Bezirtzoglou of Greece and Miriam Alvarezde de la Rosa Rodriguez of Spain, the Speaker highlighted the longstanding historical, cultural and political ties linking Malta with the three countries.

Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral relations, parliamentary cooperation and collaboration in areas of mutual interest, including culture, education, tourism, trade, maritime affairs and regional stability, as well as cooperation within the European Union and international fora.

The meetings also touched on shared Mediterranean priorities and the importance of continued high-level exchanges and people-to-people contacts.

All three Ambassadors conveyed their governments' commitment to further deepening relations with Malta, expressing readiness to work closely with Maltese institutions to enhance cooperation at all levels.
