During a meeting of the PN's Executive Committee, the PN approved an additional candidate for the upcoming general election.

Edmond Cuschieri will contest for the PN on the Eighth Electoral District.

"Edmond Cuschieri is a lawyer from Birkirkara. He is a 48-year-old former police officer, married, with a 17-year-old son. Edmond will be contesting a general election with the PN for the first time."

 During the meeting, Leader of the PN Alex Borg thanked all the candidates approved to date, as well as others who have already expressed interest in forming part of the PN's team for the general election and who will be approved in the coming weeks.

"With the approval of this new candidate, the number of candidates approved so far to contest the next general election on behalf of the PN has now risen to 28. The process to identify and approve further candidates is ongoing. The PN's team of candidates includes new faces, others who have previously contested elections with the PN, women and young people, as well as a number of candidates from Gozo," the party said.
