A national conference focusing on "Active Ageing in Action - From Policy to Practice Through Intersectoral Collaboration" examined Malta's long-term vision for active ageing as part of the Malta 2050 framework.

Health and Active Ageing Minister Jo Etienne Abela said the government is working towards building an evidence-based policy framework that values people at every stage of life, stressing that intersectoral collaboration remains essential for delivering meaningful change.

Parliamentary Secretary for Active Ageing Malcolm Paul Agius Galea highlighted the need for continuous evaluation of services and forward planning to meet the growing demands of an ageing population.

Permanent Secretary Renzo DeGabriele said the conference strengthened cooperation between health entities and other ministries to ensure a holistic approach to future projects and measures.
