A teenager and a woman were injured on Tuesday in separate traffic accidents, the police said Wednesday.

The 15-year-old boy from Żabbar was riding a scooter which was involved in a collision with a Mazda driven by a 24-year-old man from Żurrieq. The accident took place at 5pm in Kappuccini Street, Zabbar.

The woman, aged 54 of Mosta, was riding a Niu bike which was involved in an accident with a Jeep driven by a 73-year-old man of Mosta. The accident happened in Speranza Street, Mosta at 5pm.

The boy and the woman were taken to hospital with grievous injuries.
