Two men are in police custody following a drug bust during a routine patrol in Marsa yesterday morning, the police said..

At around 11am, officers patrolling Triq il-Marsa spotted a group of individuals acting suspiciously. Upon stopping and searching the suspects, police discovered 60 sachets of suspected synthetic cannabis on a 31-year-old Somali national residing in Marsa.

A second search conducted on another Somali national, aged 30 and residing in San Ġwann, yielded an additional seven sachets of the same substance, along with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Both men were arrested on-site.
