Sala Isouard, Manoel Theatre, will open its doors on 16 May at 6:30pm for Love Duets, an evening shaped around tenderness, longing, and the luminous sweep of the operatic voice.
Tenor Matteo Macchioni and soprano Cristina Neri, joined by pianist Mirca Rosciani, will offer a generous programme that moves from youthful sparkle to deep lyricism, from the elegance of bel canto to the sun‑drenched warmth of Neapolitan song. The evening brings together favourites such as Je veux vivre, Una furtiva lagrima, O sole mio, O mio babbino caro, and the soaring finality of Nessun dorma, alongside pieces including Danza di Rossini, Taccia il labbro, Caruso, Oltre Oceano, Albucchella, Mare chiaro, Tu che mi hai preso il cuor, Mamma, and Quel grande albero.
A programme of familiar melodies and heartfelt colour, offered by three artists who understand how to let music speak directly to the heart.
