The Malta Union of Teachers on Monday condemned an aggression suffered by the Head and Deputy Head of School in Kalkara primary.

In a statement, the union reiterates the need for authorities to support educators in school.

According to initial information, the unwarranted escalation from the parent was unrelated to schooling.

This strengthens the statements by the union and by educators that schools are facing situations which go beyond schooling and which require the support of services outside school and in the respective families.

The MUT said communicated with the Head of School and offered its support whilst it communicated also with the Education Ministry for the required assistance.
