Two people were rushed to Mater Dei Hospital yesterday following two separate traffic collisions.

The first incident occurred at approximately 4pm on Triq id-Dejma in Tarxien. Preliminary investigations indicate that a collision took place between a Toyota Vitz, driven by a 50-year-old woman from Safi, and a Junak motorcycle operated by a 69-year-old man from Żabbar.

The second accident happened around 7:30pmon Triq Sant'Anna in Floriana. Initial reports suggest that a collision occurred between an Otokar Vectio bus, driven by a 34-year-old Indian national residing in Msida, and an e-kick scooter ridden by a 12-year-old boy.

Medical teams assisted at both scenes. The motorcyclist and the young boy were transported to the hospital by ambulance, where both were certified to have sustained grievous injuries.

Police investigations into both accidents are ongoing.
