At its final press conference for the 2026 general election in Attard, ADPD-The Green Party urged voters to choose serious politics by supporting their candidates. Party spokespeople emphasized the urgent need for systemic reform, transparency, and social justice in Malta.

Candidate Luke Caruana highlighted the necessity of state-regulated party financing to counter the multi-million-euro campaigns of traditional parties. ADPD advocates for state funding for parties meeting a minimum support threshold, strict controls on large private donations, and scrutiny of political party companies.

Caruana also called for parliament to investigate public properties used by political parties, ensuring they are charged commercial rates and that outstanding debts to public entities are settled. He criticized current politics for becoming a spectacle driven by powerful lobbies rather than a vision based on principles.

Candidate Mario Mallia focused on transparency and accountability to eliminate corruption. ADPD proposes that MPs dedicate themselves exclusively to parliamentary duties to avoid conflicts of interest, and banned from authoritative boards. The party demands strict lobbying regulations, including public minutes of meetings, and "revolving door" cooling-off periods for individuals moving between public administration and the private sector. Furthermore, Mallia insisted on comprehensive asset declarations for MPs and ministers, including wealth held by spouses.

Party Chairperson Sandra Gauci emphasized that ADPD candidates across all districts share a green vision rooted in altruism and social justice.

She reminded voters of the party's consistent activism for citizens, including fighting for clean seas, protecting public land from development, and protesting rampant construction abuse, noise, air pollution, and overtourism. Gauci stated that ADPD is the natural choice for those who feel ignored by the political elite, promising that having a green voice in parliament will guarantee equal treatment and opportunities for everyone.
