A 21-year-old woman from the Czech Republic sustained grievous injuries yesterday evening after a paragliding accident in Dingli, the police said Saturday.
The accident occurred at approximately 6.30pm in the area known as Irdum tal-Iħfar, located off Triq Panoramika.
Police arrived on the scene shortly after being alerted to the accident.
A rescue operation was immediately launched, involving members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team, who worked together to retrieve the woman from the cliffside.
She was subsequently transported to Mater Dei Hospital, where medical professionals confirmed she had suffered grievous injuries.
