The Parliamentary Secretary for Animal Welfare, Alicia Bugeja Said, has announced that she gave birth to a baby girl on Thursday.
Bugeja Said shared the news on her social media pages on Friday. Her daughter has been named Maelle, she shared.
"With our hearts full of love and gratitude, we would like to share with you that yesterday our little girl, Maelle, arrived into the world," Bugeja Said stated, attaching a picture of her and her husband Malcolm holding shoes fit for a baby girl.
Maelle is Bugeja Said's second daughter. In 2023, through the birth of her first child, Margaux, Bugeja Said became the first member of Cabinet to give birth during her time in office.
