Nationalist Party MP Mark Anthony Sammut has reported a retired police officer to the authorities after being told to tie a noose around his head.

atrick Attard posted a comment under a ONE News video telling the MP to go to Hurd's Bank (the officer referred to it as 'hearts bank') and tie a noose around his neck.

The online comment followed a parliamentary session in which Sammut criticised Attorney General Victoria Buttigieg for her absence during the trial of Yorgen Fenech.

Responding on Facebook, Sammut highlighted Attard's past suspension from the police force and his subsequent reinstatement following the 2013 general election, pointing to the incident as reflective of systemic issues within the corps. Sammut emphasised that the comment would not deter him from working toward a just future for the country.
