A motorcyclist died on Friday morning after the bike he was riding was involved in a collision with a truck, in Hal Far, limits of Gudja, the police said Friday.

The victim is a 34-year-old man from Cospicua, the police said. He was certified dead on site.

He was riding a Yamaha GDP125-A bike which was involved in a collision with a Leyland Cruiser driven by a 63-year-old man of Żurrieq

The police said the accident occurred at 9:45am on Friday morning at Triq Ħal Far, Gudja.

Magistrate Monica Borg Galea is leading an inquiry.
