The Nationalist Party closed the 2025 financial year with a surplus of just over €100,000 while keeping its debt at the same level as the previous year, the party said in a statement on Friday.

The PN said it submitted its financial accounts for 2025 to the Electoral Commission on Friday morning, following the approval of its audited financial statements for last year by the party's Administrative Council in recent days.

PN Secretary General Charles Bonello and Treasurer Veronica Perici Calascione presented the party's financial accounts to the Commission at its offices in Naxxar.

The party said that by submitting its annual accounts for 2025 to the Electoral Commission, it is continuing to fulfil its financial obligations in accordance with the Financing of Political Parties Act.

It said it is also strengthening its financial position through an ongoing restructuring process aimed at achieving more sustainable financial management.
