Three people have been arrested in connection with two separate drug-related cases in St Paul's Bay and Marsa, police said.
The first incident took place at around 11am on Saturday, when police officers on patrol in Triq Ġulju, St Paul's Bay, noticed a man riding a motorcycle in a negligent manner.
The man was stopped and police found that he was in Malta irregularly. The 28-year-old Colombian national was informed that he was under arrest and was taken to his residence in Żebbuġ for further checks on his documentation.
During a search of the residence, police found a number of sachets containing various substances, as well as weighing scales and other items allegedly linked to drug trafficking.
Around 40 sachets containing suspected cocaine, ketamine, MDMA and ecstasy were seized from the residence.
Later that day, at around 6pm, police officers on patrol in Marsa noticed a vehicle in Triq in-Nagħal which aroused their suspicion.
A 37-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were inside the vehicle. A search led to the seizure of around 56 sachets containing suspected heroin, cocaine and synthetic cannabis, as well as cash.
Police subsequently searched the man's residence in Qormi, where they found further items allegedly related to drug trafficking, additional suspected drugs and more cash.
The Colombian man is expected to appear in court at around 10:30am today before Magistrate Dr Anne Marie Thake LL.D.
