On the occasion of the International Day for Older Persons, CareMalta Group organised a special event at St. John's Co-Cathedral in Valletta, celebrating the invaluable contribution and experience of older persons in our society.
The event began with Holy Mass, celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Galea-Curmi, followed by a ceremony held at the Oratory of St. John.
During the ceremony, a memento of appreciation was presented to the shareholders of Vassallo Group, and the CEO of CareMalta Group, in recognition of their contribution and continued commitment to the well-being and care of older persons. The tokens were presented by residents and service users of CareMalta and HILA.

A memento was also presented to Parliamentary Secretary for Active Ageing, Deo Debattista, as a gesture of appreciation. Shadow Minister for Active Ageing, Paula Mifsud Bonnici, was also present for the occasion.
The event provided an opportunity for residents, service users, staff and guests to come together in a spirit of gratitude, respect and celebration. It also served as a reminder of the important role older persons continue to play in our families, communities and society.
Through this event, CareMalta Group reaffirmed its commitment to recognising and valuing older persons, while celebrating their life experiences, contributions and continued involvement in the community.
