An oil spill at the Tas-Srieken roundabout, also known as Tal-Imgħallaq, between Qormi, Luqa and Żebbuġ, has caused heavy traffic.
TM Alert, Transport Malta's official road update platform on Facebook, warned commuters to avoid the area where possible.
Drivers were advised to proceed with caution due to the spill.
