Maid Pleads not guilty to stealing

A maid pleaded not guilty to attempting to steal over e2,329.37 worth in items on Monday from the house she used to work in Birkirkara.

Dolores Deguara, from San Gwann, was caught red-handed by the CCTV cameras her employers had installed.

The 62-year-old woman, who pleaded not guilty also to relapsing, was granted bail by magistrate Michael Mallia against a personal guarantee of e1,000.

Police Inspectors Anthony Portelli and Kevin Farrugia prosecuted while Dr Anglu Farrugia appeared for the accused.
