Joseph Enriquez, 19, from Pieta, pleaded not guilty to possessing over half a kilo of the drug on 11 May. He was also accused of trafficking cannabis He was also accused on fall-back charges of cannabis possession with intent to supply to third parties.
The court turned down the accused’s request for bail and ordered that he be remanded in custody.
Police inspector Nezren Grixti prosecuted while Dr Malcolm Mifsud appeared for defence.
