Emanuel Vella, 30, known as il-Pahh, was accused of dealing heroin on 27 May within 100 metres of a club. He was also accused of possessing heroin.
The court, presided over by magistrate Abigail Lofaro, ordered the accused to be remanded in custody.
Police inspector Pierre Grech prosecuted.
