Chetcuti smashed 49, 48 and 49 before hitting 46 in the barrage to win the event with a total of 192 from 200.
The federation statement said that yesterday’s result augurs well for Chetcuti’s participation in the Olympic Games in Athens next month. Sport Minister Louis Galea was among the first to congratulate Chetcuti.
