Malta Independent Friday, 25 June 2004, 00:00 Last update: about 22 years ago

Being made fellow is the highest honour of the society’s list of distinctions and is awarded to people, not necessarily members of the society, who have made a significant contribution to the art of photography. It is also awarded to members who have been of outstanding service to the society.

Anthony Blackman has been practising photography since the early 70s. He served on the executive committee for many years, eight as president. His favourite type of photography involves nature.

Carmel Psaila has been a member of the society almost since its foundation in 1961. He served for 32 years as honourary secretary and has been the president for the past five years. He is a traditionally a monochrome print worker but also practices other mediums in colour.
