The conference, held at least once a year, will be held today and tomorrow.

This conference is of particular importance as it will be the very first after the EU accession of 10 new member states, including Malta, last May.

Topics on the agenda of the conference include: The subsidiarity test; Developments in cooperation between EU parliaments; Europe: a European and a global agenda; The new choice facing Parliaments after the major enlargement.
