The Canadian Green party has increased its support more than four-fold across the country since the last election, receiving about half a million votes this time. With four per cent of the national popular vote, the Canadian Greens will qualify for annual funding of $1.75 per voter.

In a letter addressed to the Canadian Greens, AD’s international secretary said: “We feel particularly satisfied by the growth of the Canadian Greens due to the connection between the two countries and the presence of a vibrant Maltese community in Canada. It is positive that the Greens are doing well in both countries. This bodes well for future cooperation between the two parties.”
