Collective Agreements for BA, OHSA and MTA signed

Malta Independent Thursday, 2 September 2004, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

The collective agreements were signed by the UHM on behalf of the staff at the Broadcasting Authority, the Occupational Health and Safety Authority and the Malta Tourism Authority.

The MTA agreement was signed yesterday following a series of meetings with MTA representatives and representatives of the government’s Collective Bargain-ing Unit.

The union had had to resort to a number of directives for the MTA employees after the two sides could not reach agreement on the new collective agreement.

MTA employees will now benefit from better salaries and improved working conditions including family friendly policies. The agreement comes into effect back-dated to January 2003 and is valid for four years.
