Malta Independent Thursday, 9 September 2004, 00:00 Last update: about 23 years ago

David Gatt, 27, from St Paul’s Bay was charged yesterday morning and accused of heroin possession in circumstances suggesting it was not for his personal use. He was also accused of ecstasy possession and relapsing in view of previous convictions.

Along with the drug charges, Gatt allegedly attacked and resisted two police officers, slightly injuring one of them and damaging their car in the process. He denied all the charges pressed against him.

Presiding magistrate Silvio Meli denied the accused’s request for bail and Gatt was remanded in custody.
