Marvin Vella, 22, from Gzira, appeared in court to answer charges of threatening and attempting to seriously injure Matthew Camilleri. Mr Camilleri was slightly injured in the incident.
The accused also admitted firing an unlicensed air pistol in a public place.
Magistrate Joseph Apap Bologna presided over the court. Inspector Stephen Gatt prosecuted and Dr Andrea Micallef appeared for Vella.
