Marco Zammit was accused of assaulting and injuring his wife, both slightly and seriously, and of breaching the peace on various occasions over the past few weeks.

He pleaded not guilty

to all the charges made against him.

Magistrate Denis Quintano granted the accused bail against a Lm750 personal guarantee and a Lm250 deposit, on condition that he approaches neither his wife nor police witnesses.

Inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted and Dr Malcolm Mifsud appeared for the accused.
