John Bartolo, aged 46, was found guilty of employing a foreigner to work without a permit. After considering his early guilty plea, the court ruled he should be fined Lm500, which can be paid in Lm100 monthly instalments.
The court was presided over by magistrate Lawrence Quintano and inspector Kevin Farrugia prosecuted.
