The government is in talks with the Public Transport Association and the Transport Authority so that auto vehicle locators are installed in all buses. These systems link each bus to a central system through which the precise location of each vehicle can be established.
This will enable people waiting for a bus to get to know when the bus will be arriving at that particular bus stop. It will also enable a database to be drawn up so as to improve the system.
Transport Minister Jesmond Mugliett was replying to Clyde Puli.
