A Gozitan woman was injured yesterday after she jumped out of the van she was driving when it incurred some yet unknown damage.

The police inspector at the scene said the woman was frightened when the van she was driving had some technical difficulties that were not yet known. The van definitely had a punctured tyre, but any other damage had not yet been discovered.

The woman, aged between 35 and 40, jumped out and was injured in the process, eye witnesses said. The inspector said the woman’s injuries did not seem serious. She was conscious before being driven off to St Luke’s Hospital.
