Garage Owner accused of forgery in connection with VRT tests

The owner of a garage licensed to carry out VRT testing was accused of forging a public document and falsely claiming a car satisfied VRT requirements.

Biagio Muscat, 49, from Zejtun, was charged with forging a public document in Zejtun at around 4.35pm on 21 October 2004. He was in possession of a licence to carry out VRT tests and was accused of registering a false result.

Twanny Fenech, 47 from Tarxien, the owner of the vehicle in question, was accused of being Mr Muscat’s accomplice.

The court was presided over by Magistrate Giovanni Grixti. Inspector Joseph Cordina prosecuted while Dr Jose Herrera and Dr Joseph Giglio appeared for the accused.
