Capital Radio is seven years young on Friday. Since starting up in 1998 the station has just kept growing into the phenomenon that the entire country knows and loves.

To celebrate, a week of activities has been put together, kicking off with a boat party on Friday and culminating in the station’s official birthday party at the Liquid Club on 8 July. Friday’s boat party is free of charge for those with a birthday party ticket. This is the station’s way of saying thank you to the loyal army of listeners who have supported 88.7 since its inception 84 short months ago.

During the birthday party at the Liquid Club on 8 July, Ryan Paris, of Dolce Vita fame will be putting together a special 80s show for the crowd, highlighting all those wonderful Italo-1980s songs we all know and love from Tarzan Boy to Happy Children, to I like Chopin. 1990s mega stars La Bouche will also be in attendance, putting together an unforgettable energy-filled show including hits such as Sweet Dreams and Be My Lover.
