Law Courts ‘dilapidated’

Malta Independent Friday, 22 July 2005, 00:00 Last update: about 12 years ago

Opposition spokesman for Justice Anglu Farrugia said yesterday that the situation regarding air conditioning in the law courts was preventing people from working.

He said that it was impossible to work in the magistrates’ court due to a lack of cool air. He gave as examples the court rooms of magistrates Consuelo Scerri and Miriam Hayman, where not less than 30 cases were heard in hot and stuffy court rooms.

Dr Farrugia said that this was a clear indication of the dilapidation that exists in the court rooms – a dilapidation that characterised the Nationalist Government.
