Absorbing drama, hard-hitting current affairs’ programmes, sit-coms, comedy and sports programmes all form part of the new autumn schedule recently launched by Super One Television.
“Super one Television, Malta’s family station, has the biggest choice ever this autumn,” said Super One Television communications officer Bernard Lynch at the launch, which was held at the Hilton International in St Julian’s.
MONDAY
“This season, Super One introduces new faces and ground-breaking new comedy as a group of young people face the ups and downs of sharing a house together in L-Erbgha L’Huma,” said Mr Lynch. The new show is broadcast every Monday night at 8.30pm.
Alfred Zammit is back with his hit family show Kalamita, which is broadcast Mondays to Fridays at 1.20pm. Nancy Buhagiar serves up more tasty dishes in Flimkien ma’ Nancy at 6.15pm while Sara Vella-Haber reveals more stories from Gozo in Grajjiet Ghawdex at 8pm.
For the inside news on sports, tune into L-Argument with Mark Cutajar at 9.15pm.
TUESDAY
Tuesday afternoon sees the return of Zuggie L-Kangaroo at 5pm and Robert and his team have more kitchen tips in Mill-Vetrina Taghna at 5.35pm.
Djarju Malti mill Awstralja, broadcast at 11.15am, brings family greetings from abroad.
The motoring show, Wheelspin has Fleur Balzan behind the wheel at 5.45pm and journalist Veronique Dalli hosts Tarka, which looks at workers and their union, at 8pm.
Roberto Francalanza takes a biting look at local politics in Qribna, from Tuesdays to Fridays at 8.30pm.
The ever-popular cinema programme, Flicks, at 8.35pm, is introduced by Mario Azzopardi followed at 9.15pm by the current affairs programme Vice Versa presented by Charlon Gouder.
WEDNESDAY
Discover different Mediterranean dishes with Romilda Zarb in Bzar u Melh at 5.35pm on Wednesdays and then take a trip to the race track with Tommy Cunningham in Sal-Gister at 6.15pm.
At 8pm Andre and Christine are back with another edition of Studenti, then it is time for the hilarious antics of Advocate Bilocca Gawdenz at 8.30pm. Comedy continues with Onorevoli at 9.45pm.
THURSDAY
On Thursday Awguri mill-Kanada is broadcast at 11.15am and Marisa Galea looks at fashion, health and beauty in Zugraga at 5.35pm.
Mariella Scerri checks out the latest home design ideas in Orjenta Darek at 6.15pm.
Konfini, at 8pm, hosted by Claudette Baldacchino, focuses on the work of local councils. At 8.35, fast cars, crime lords and a children’s hospital are all entwined in the new drama Solitaire, produced and directed by Mark Doneo.
Thursday nights continue with Epoka, as Jackie Mercieca looks at the 20th century, fashion and music.
FRIDAY
Lilliput with Ruth Frendo on Friday at 5.35pm is strictly for children. Deo Grech gives you the chance to win Lm500 in an exciting new quiz show, Hames Mija at 5.35pm and Josette Sciberras relives more wedding memories in Tieg il-Holm at 6.30pm.
Toni Abela and Ruth Frendo continue their regular Friday night appearance with a new programme, Otello at 8.30pm, an exciting mix of chat, top personalities and events from Malta’s past. Check out all the latest cinema news with Mario Azzopardi and Flicks at 10pm.
SATURDAY
