Talented Pianist performs at lunchtime concert

Eighteen-year-old Mariella Camilleri will be playing in this season’s third lunchtime concert. Organised by the Malta Council for Culture and The Arts, the concert is being held today at the Music Room at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity in Valletta at 12.35pm.

This is the fourth time that Mariella will be playing at a lunchtime concert, and this time she will be performing works by Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Debussy and Gershwin.

Mariella has been studying piano for the past 13 years at Fransina Abela Brincat School. She is currently studying for her ABRSM diploma in performing under Maki Yagi and Gergely Nemeth. Last year, she attended piano master-classes in Genoa, Italy, and during the concert she performed pieces by Mro Joseph Vella.

The lunchtime concert will last approximately 30 minutes. Tickets at Lm0.75 and Lm0.50 for children under 12 and people over 60 can be purchased from the booking office at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity, Valletta, Tel: 2122-3200.
