Parliamentary secretary Tonio Fenech, in his capacity as Governor for Malta on the Board of Governors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), has attended the Bank’s 15th annual meeting and business forum.
The meeting was held in London on 21 and 22 May. During the meeting, Mr Fenech delivered a statement in which he commended the EBRD on its excellent results, both in terms of its financial out-turn, as well as its operational performance.
He said that within the constraints of Malta’s limited resources, the government would continue to support the bank and participate in its initiatives.
The Maltese delegation to the EBRD annual meeting also included permanent secretary Alfred Camilleri, deputy governor of the Central Bank of Malta David A. Pullicino and the head of the parliamentary secretary’s secretariat Alan Caruana.
