Committee Complains about lack of consultation

Malta Independent Saturday, 27 May 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 21 years ago

The committee opposing the re-development of the Marsascala Recycling Plant has filed an official letter in court complaining about the lack of consultation on the formulation and issue of a public tender for the development of the waste recycling plant.

In its letter to WasteServ, the committee complained that the company did not consult it and the local councils which opposed the project on the tendering process.

The committee called on the company to provide it with the tender document as well as all other relevant documents. It also asked for the complete schedule of public consultations which were carried out on this tendering process.

Dr Owen Bonnici signed the letter.
