The problems related to the registration and high prices of medicines require an immediate solution, the Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises – GRTU said yesterday.

The chamber said it would never accept the 'price order' system, even more so when the sector is burdened with costly procedures and standards.

The GRTU said the government should simplify the present registration system and adopt a system similar to that in use in Luxembourg.

“Ideally, we should accept those medicines that are available on the European market, of which we form part,” the GRTU said.

The chamber said any further delays would be detrimental to patients who need medicines.
