Man Charged with threatening Appogg CEO

A man was yesterday charged with threatening Appogg chief executive officer Joe Gerada blaming him for his family problems.

Mario Apap, 51, from Paola, was charged with calling Mr Gerada on his mobile at all hours, threatening him and holding him responsible for his family problems. He was also charged with misusing telecommunications equipment and threatening him in person at his office in Guardamangia. .

Mr Apap, who before magistrate Antonio Mizzi pleaded not guilty to the charges, was refused bail and was remanded in custody.

Police inspector Mario Tonna prosecuted.
