SMS Insurance Agency is becoming a force to be reckoned with as it has secured the support of international giants in the field, thus offering the best security policies for peace of mind in every sphere.

This move emerged after Ecclesiastical Insurance Office, which SMS Insurance represented for 18 years, decided to cease operations in the Mediterranean and return to its core business of covering churches.

This company ceased writing new business in Malta, Cyprus and Greece from 1 July, so SMS Insurance sought to secure new carriers for its business, emerging as the exclusive agents for international specialists in the different fields.

For motor insurance it has secured the support of QBE 1886, a Lloyds syndicate managed and capitalised by QBE International, one of the largest insurers worldwide with offices in 41 countries.

As regards property and household insurance, an agreement was reached with Catlin Insurance Company, which wrote $1.4 billion in premiums worldwide and is among the world leaders in the industry.

Faraday Reinsurance Company Ltd has been signed on to take the liability segments of SMS Insurance’s portfolio. Faraday is the only AAA rated insurance worldwide and enjoys the best financial standing.

Personal accident and travel insurance will be underwritten by Lloyds, through Gerling Syndicate.
