Summer School at Eden Leisure

Malta Independent Tuesday, 13 June 2006, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

Over the past four years, the Eden Leisure Group has been providing fun, healthy and safe entertainment for kids during the summer holidays. Building on its experience, Eden Leisure has put together a new, different programme this year, for Tuesday and Thursday mornings, throughout July, August and September.

When out of school, children need to be kept stimulated and this can often be a strain on the parents. This makes the Eden Summer Club ideal. Parents can enroll their children aged between four and 12 into the Eden Summer Club where activities will include daily bowling and mini leagues at Eden SuperBowl, children’s movies at the Eden Cinemas and fun fitness activities. Two sessions a week from 9am until 1pm will be held throughout July, August and September.

Bowling is a healthy, light sport with a competitive edge that kids love. They will be split into different groups (by age), to be taught the rules of the game, work on their bowling skills and participate in mini leagues.

Once a week, kids will be shown a selection of kids’ movies, both recent releases as well as past classics at the Eden Cinemas. Also once weekly, with the help of the Cynergi expert in child physical education, the kids will enjoy one hour of fun fitness activities.

All participants will be given Stabilo painting materials and a mini competition will be held where the best artist can win a super Stabilo colouring kit, once monthly.

Some interesting activities, such as an animated show for kids by the MTA will be included, from time to time.

Children are invited to join for Lm30 per month. There are discounts for siblings joining as well as for kids attending more than one session. Transport can be arranged from home and back again.

Full-time supervision will be provided for the kids’ safety.
